Flexible play

One of the most challenging parts of being a parent is the need to be constantly flexible. Clockwork plans never go how you expected and each day throws new challenges. It is also true that each child is different and there is no one size fits all for anything really. It is the same for us therapists, we plan our sessions and put a lot of thought and energy into organising the perfect session. rarely does it go to plan, but that is the beauty of our job and what keeps things interesting. Today I’ve changed my session plan for this little one and set the room up a completely different way. Turns out the change in approach was exactly what was needed. Children are constantly changing and it’s our challenge to be one step ahead or at least keep up!
